Mothers Day 2015: The Power Of A Mother

Other than thanking God, when famous athletes receive awards they almost always thank their mothers. Why? I, for one, think mothers have super powers.

Mothers have the ability to care for the hurting, nurture those who need comforting, bandage up the wounds, feed the hungry, fix the broken, clean the dirty, mend the torn, support the weak, discipline the unruly, love the unlovable, befriend the lonely, and strength that can move mountains.

All in one day.

A mother’s mind works like no other. Mothers have eyes that see through you and ears that hear what you didn’t say and thoughts that sound like yours.

They have a heart that beats when yours stops. They can go without so that you don’t. They can restore all that is wrong in life through a single hug. They can explain the wonders of the world through a single smile.

They can morph into a child, a wife, and worker, a friend, a physician, a therapist, a teacher, a mechanic, an accountant, a CEO, a designer, a coach, a seamstress, a chef, a purchasing agent and a talent agent, all in a single moment.

A mother is not a person — she is a phenomenon.

A mother embraces all that is good in this world. Everything that mankind seeks for the heart, God provided for in a mother.

Thank God for mothers, and Happy Mothers Day!

Just a thought …
